Lead Provider
Jane Mehl is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a compassionate, evidence-based approach. Originally from Ukraine, she brings clinical experience across trauma, neuro, and orthopedic care. She earned her BSN from Western Governors University, MSN from Maryville University, and PMHNP certificate from Herzing University. She provides comprehensive care in primary, addiction, and mental health services. Jane’s philosophy integrates clinical precision with empathy, supporting patient safety, education, and empowerment. She enjoys time with her family, hiking, music, and reading philosophy.
Michael Mehl (Mikey), RN-BSN, HCM
Practice Manager | Emergency Room Nurse
Mikey is a U.S. Air Force veteran and ER nurse with backgrounds in urgent care and chronic disease management. He holds nursing degrees from Pueblo Community College and Western Governors University, and a BS in Healthcare Management from Excelsior College. He currently works at the VA as an ER nurse while managing daily operations at Around the Block Healthcare. In 2025, Mikey will begin his FNP training to expand clinical services and join the practice full-time.
Regina
Medical Assistant | Certified Nursing Assistant | Patient Support Specialist
Regina, affectionately known as Gina, brings over a decade of experience in healthcare to her role at Around the Block Healthcare. Her background includes hospice care, skilled nursing facilities, and leadership in drug and alcohol programs within El Paso County. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and will soon earn her Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
Regina is passionate about caring for others and providing hands-on support in clinical settings. She is trained in ketamine-assisted therapy, skilled in administering injections, and is preparing to become certified in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). As the practice expands, Regina will also lead onboarding and training for incoming medical assistants.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling internationally and embracing diverse cultures—a reflection of her open-hearted, people-centered approach to care.
Aubrie Plautz
Office Manager | Front Office Training Supervisor
Aubrie oversees front office operations with a background in health administration and social work. She is pursuing a BSW and MSW from Grand Canyon University and is training to become an AASECT-certified sex therapist, focusing on sexual health and offender management. She has held leadership roles with NAMI Southeast Colorado and is a member of NASW and AASECT. Aubrie promotes trauma-informed care, reintegration strategies, and inclusive education for clients and staff.
Yagelis (Ja-hel-is) Pichardo

Yagelis is a trauma-informed Licensed Professional Counselor offering therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ clients. She integrates mindfulness and evidence-based practices in a safe, welcoming space to support healing and personal growth.
Her therapeutic work includes **individual, couples, and family therapy**, and she specializes in supporting clients navigating **polyamorous relationships** and **KINK-friendly** identities with affirming, inclusive care.
Yagelis has extensive experience working with trauma survivors, including those affected by sexual assault and generational trauma. She holds licensure in both Colorado and Massachusetts and is nationally certified. She believes that healing begins with the brave act of understanding your own story and walking the path of authenticity and resilience.
